Spectacular music about well-known patroness
Orchestra Sinfonietta Riga performs three compositions from the Christina Cycle by Dutch-Swedish composer Klas Torstensson. The works reflect on the life of Christine, Queen of Sweden from 1626 to 1689. She was an important patroness of the arts, including theatre, sculpture and music. Violinist Joseph Puglia, a soul mate of Torstensson, and soprano Charlotte Riedijk will perform as soloists. The collaboration with Consensus Vocalis choir adds a special touch to this enthralling programme.
