Although many dance performances have been postponed, true to form, dancers and dance companies haven’t been sitting still! You can find a selection of the best dance projects to enjoy from your sofa here.
Cinedans will continue online as Cinedans WEB and is presenting a programme filled with the best dance films from 25 to 29 March. For example, you can watch The Great Ghosts by Yoann Bourgeois and Clown by Hofesh Shechter, including a short film to boot.
Choreographer Ohad Naharin

To get through the quiet days, dance company Lunatics and Poets is uploading a new dance film every week. Click on the link in their Instagram page bio.
As the Grand Theatre in Groningen had to temporarily close their doors, they are putting all their dance performances up on their website. At GT Online you can watch a different performance every Thursday and Friday at 20:30, which will remain online for 24 hours. On the planning for Thursday 26 March is The Dog Days Are Over and Friday 27 March Sweet Baby Sweat, both creations of Flemish choreographer Jan Martens.
Scapino Ballet is hosting a live stream every Monday at 20:30 on their Facebook page for their followers to enjoy. The live streams will show varying content, such as performances, films, or documentaries made by or about Scapino.
Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT)
NDT fans, not to worry! The Nederlands Dans Theater will upload a fresh ballet registration every week. This week features Mutual Comfort by guest choreographer Edward Clug. In addition, there is hours worth of material to dig through in their online catalogue.
Off Ground is a touching short dance film about a boy and his dying mother, choreographed by Jakob Ahlbom. The film is part of the NTR-series Point Taken, a collaboration between choreographers and filmmakers.
Online Ballet Barre
Always wanted to be a ballet dancer? This is your chance! The Dutch National Opera & Ballet are streaming ballet classes through their YouTube channel. You can rewatch the first episode here. The next class will take place on Friday 27 March at 11am.
