Museum concert by virtuoso cellist
Moscow-born cellist, Maya Fridman, left her hometown for Amsterdam in order to study under the tutelage of Dmitri Ferschtman, whose works bridge the gap between Russian and Western traditions. In this concert, Fridman plays work by the young Dutch-Ukrainian composer Maxim Shalygin. Last year, his mesmerising composition Lacrimosa or 13 Magic Songs took the classical music scene by surprise. He wrote this solo piece exclusively for the cello virtuoso. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the museum exhibitions before or after the concert.
