At the start of the eighties, Danny Bosten (aka Das Ding) was a pioneer of the Dutch post-pink, d.i.y. electro-pop. Das Ding is back, after being rediscovered by the minimal wave-scene, and he is being embraced by a new generation of music enthusiasts. I am thrilled to be able to witness this.

D.I.Y. electro-pioneer

Until recently, Danny Bosten was The Netherland’s best kept musical secret. He is the founding father of cassette tape label Tear Apart Tapes and minimal wave pioneer. His synthwave-style is especially recognizable because of his combination of homemade footage and unpolished electronic sounds. With his bedroom produced cassette tapes he was able to break through in the underground scene and stay clear from the big record labels. After twenty years, Bosten has been rediscovered and performs under the name Das Ding with a new, strong line-up.]
