Modern adaptation breathes new life into an ancient myth

The men of Calefax are not ones to be bogged down by genre conventions: they make and play adaptations of music stretching from 1100 to the present day, and frequently invite guest musicians to join their unique wind ensemble of hobo, clarinet, saxophone, bass clarinet, and fagot. Welcoming trumpet legend Eric Vloeimans to the stage, Calefax and Vloeimans join forces to breathe new life into the ancient myth of Dido and Aeneas, and a baroque opera adaptation by Purcell.
