Self-playing piano as starting point of evening about sound art

Gaudeamus supports the newest music made by young music pioneers and presents Disklavier Projection Works in collaboration with Stichting Colon. Today, programmer Felipe Noriega and programmer/pianist Anne Veinberg explore the phenomenon of the self-playing piano with the help of algorithms, digital projections and live coding. During the evening, there will be a recital of Danny de Graan’s composition Riding the Euclidean Planes. Not to forget, composer Robert van Heumen will play on the disklavier; an acoustic piano or grand piano that can play both traditional and electronic music. Following the concert you will have the chance to visit the exhibition Robots love Music.
