Mozart and Jimi Hendrix form the background of a political memory
Congolese choreographer and storyteller Faustin Linyekula will teleport us back in time with this political performance. Linyekula sheds a light on friends, poets and writers who were shut down or banished because of what they said like Richard Kabako who was buried by unknown individuals far away from his home, and author Antoine Vumilia Muhindo who was in prison for years awaiting his death sentence. Of course the story of hip hop dancer Dinozord is also told, with Jimi Hendrix and Mozart playing in the background.
Jonne ter Braak has been dancing since she was a toddler. She was enrolled in a dance programme for two years, until she discovered that she wanted to broaden her knowledge, rather than specify it. She worked for Holland Festival for three years, and as of 1 April 2016 she carries the proud title of programmer at Felix Meritis and De Nieuwe Liefde.
