Ode to the architecture of Amsterdam and Barcelona
Tonight, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra presents an ode to the idealistic architecture of the early twentieth century, as found in Amsterdam and Barcelona. Antoni Gaudí shaped and influenced the city of Barcelona forever; in Amsterdam the Amsterdamse School made its mark on the city. In collaboration with the Amsterdamse School Museum Het Schip the Concertgebouw Orchestra presents a night of Iberian influences including, of course, classics such as Ravel’s famous Boléro.
It all started five years ago, when music lover Micha Windgassen (1989) began working as a marketing volunteer at Entrée, The Concertgebouw & orchestra’s youth club. Her career kept on developing and now she works as a coordinator and producer at Radio 4, developing a classical music radio show. She explores all of her other music tastes in her profession as DJ at KX Radio. Armed with her We Are Public pass, Micha jaunts between one cultural venue and the next.
