About Jasper van Luijk / SHIFFT

Choreographer Jasper van Luijk is the artistic leader of dance company SHIFFT, a creative hub based in the heart of Utrecht. In addition to producing dance performances, SHIFFT organises activities for young creators from various art disciplines, such as open studios and residency programmes.

Jasper and SHIFFT were featured on our programme with their shows SHOT and Sum of Us. With the In Art We Trust Fund’s support, Jasper is continuing to work on SHOT 2.0 together with dancer Robin Nijmanong and photographer Menno van der Meulen. The question at the core of the show: who holds the power of the created image? The photographer who decides the perspective or the dancer who can offer and take away his presence?

In Art We Trust

We Are Public will keep investing in arts and culture. Now more than ever! That is why our membership will work a little differently for the time being:

✔️ Every month our curators will select 15 makers
✔️ Our main focus will be on independent makers, who have been hit hard by the current circumstances. Makers we think are brilliant and want to enable to keep working. Makers who we want to list in our programme again when the time comes.
✔️ As a member you are able to heart makers on our website to express your support.
This month we will distribute € 35.000 between 15 makers.

Join us. We need your art-loving heart!
