Pulsing choreography by Icelandic choreographer
Black Marrow is the heart-trembling product of the fruitful collaboration between choreographers Erna Ómarsdóttir (Iceland) and Damien Jalet (Belgium). The performance tells the story of the blood that pumps through the veins of our industrialized world – petroleum. No surprise that the incidental electronic music produced by Ben Frost pumps, beats and propels as well. In between cries, the choreographers question our dependence on petroleum and the spiritual relationship between men and nature.
The Julidans Dance Festival showcases dance makers who are about to break (internationally). The festival is known for its cross-border programming, both literally and figuratively. Julidans will take place between 4 and 15 July at eight locations in Amsterdam. Six of the programs are included in the We Are Public offer.
