Together with 14 other makers, Katja Heitmann was supported through We Are Public’s In Art We Trust Fund from 15 May until 14 June. € 35.000 was distributed amongst these makers to enable them to keep creating new performances, poetry, music and choreographies. This wouldn’t be possible without our members and an extra donation by BankGiro Loterij Fonds. Thank you!
From 15 June onwards we will support a new selection of makers. Read more about them and send them your love here.
About Katja Heitmann
Katja Heitmann is fascinated with the interaction between technology and increasingly independent algorithms. It is no coincidence that her choreographies and installations have titles such as Anti-Algorithm, Siri Loves Me and Pandora’s Dropbox.
She combines dance performance and visual art in her work to create a unique visual language, bordering between man and machine. Currently, she is working with her team on a grand and unique project, Museum Motus Mori: an archive of human movement in extinction.
