Forced laborers from Vietnam, working in France? I also didn’t know the history of this.
Selected by: Inez de Coo, Film and art curator

During the Leiden Asia Week the Kijkhuis will screen three Asian documentaries. All won awards for their activistic approach. Công Binh – The Lost Fighters Of Vietnam, reveals the cruel fate of Vietnamese children during World War II, which were brought over to Indochina, where they were put to work as slaves. The documentary portrays the story in a Vietnamese puppet show.
