Young African photography talent and a South African master
Recent Histories focuses on recently deceased South African photographer David Goldblatt as well as photography and video work by other young African artists. All of the works on display belong to The Walther Collection. The selected works explore identity, immigration, ancestry and the heritage of colonialism from a very personal perspective. Included are pictures by the likes of Em’kal Eyongakpa, Délio Jasse, Mame-Diarra Niang, Dawit L. Petros and Michael Tsegaye.
