Experimental ensemble plays legendary pop album
For many years, the concerts of contemporary classical, electronic music and avant-pop by Berlin-based ensemble s t a r g a z e have been widely praised. Founded by conductor André de Ridder, the ensemble has collaborated with the likes of Nils Frahm, Julia Holter, Matthew Herbert, Koreless and Poliça. Today, they delve into Björk’s legendary album Debut, adapted by composer Aart Strootman. The album, that features hits like Human Behaviour and Violently Happy, was released twenty-five years ago and changed pop music forever.
