Opening day of cutting-edge The Hague music festival

As part of this year’s The Crave Festival, underground music platform SuBmarine take over The Grey Space in the Middle with a unique selection of The Hague-based acts. You’ll hear French producer Sébastien Robert, post-punk duo sterk water (Miriam Hochberg & Julian Struijk), electro duo Animistic Beliefs and the Australian DJ Harrison Greig-Hurtig a.k.a. Harold. Also on offer in the basement is an art and music programme put together in collaboration with art festivals Uit Het Gareel and TodaysArt. And don’t miss The Crave’s free music programme at Grote Markt either. Kicking off at 18:00, the festival host tropical electronic acts like Wrong Sal, Philou Louzolo and Dazion.

The Crave Festival, which started as an illegal rave, celebrates its fifth anniversary! Spreading throughout The Hague from 31 May to 2 June, you can catch countless cutting-edge acts inspired by punk’s do-it-yourself culture and The Hague’s music pioneers Intergalactic FM, Unit Moebius and Bunker Records. The Crave Festival 2018: A Reflection

There’s been a bright spotlight on The Netherlands and electronic music over the last couple of years. From Dekmantel and Red Light Radio to De School and Rush Hour, its seems that Amsterdam’s hyped contribution rightly deserves the attention it's been getting on a global scale. But make the journey south along the coast though and there's something really exciting bubbling up in The Hague.
