Art journalist Sacha Bronwassers went through the archives of the LIMA collection for media art, and put together her ultimate selection around the theme ‘cinema’. With this selection, titled What’s the Story, she explores possible narratives in media art. Expect works by, among others, Raul Marroquin, Keren Cytter, Broersen & Lukacs, Rä di Martino, Nicolas Provost en Kaweh Modiri. Some of the artists will be present for a Q&A.
With a degree in photography from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Basje Boer (1980) made her debut as wordsmith in 2006 with her collection of short stories entitled Kiestoon at De Arbeiderspers and published her first novel Bermuda in 2016. She continues to publish her stories and features (mostly on film) in publications like De Groene Amsterdammer, Das Magazin and De Gids. Continuing her explorations of the pen, Basje is currently working on her second novel.
