The LIMA Collection, the Amsterdam-based platform for media art, presents a new series of evenings that focusses on their collection. For this edition, video artist Douwe Dijkstra selected old and new works revolving around the theme of media activism, with the same humour that characterises his own work. Featuring video work by Ant Farm and Oliver Laric.
With a degree in photography from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Basje Boer (1980) made her debut as wordsmith in 2006 with her collection of short stories entitled Kiestoon at De Arbeiderspers and published her first novel Bermuda in 2016. She continues to publish her stories and features (mostly on film) in publications like De Groene Amsterdammer, Das Magazin and De Gids. Continuing her explorations of the pen, Basje is currently working on her second novel.
