Returning for the fifteenth time, the annual TodaysArt Festival showcases a groundbreaking, weekend-long programme at the intersection of art, music, technology, and science. During this year’s anniversary edition you will be treated to an exhibition in a spectacular former power plant, audiovisual performances, club nights and a context programme with radical local and international thinkers.
On Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 00:00 the main location of the festival is De Elektriciteitsfabriek with the exhibition Consciousness as well as the context programme in Zaal 3 right next door. From 18:00 to 00:00 the audiovisual performances take place at Theater aan het Spui, followed by the club programme to finish the day at Paard between 00:00 and 06:00.
The Curators and ambassadors of We Are Public have delved into the programme to get you started. David Veneman’s absolute favourite of the exhibition is Machine Hallucinations: Architectural Studies by Refik Anadol. Tina Farifteh suggests Interface I by Ralf Baecker. And if it’s up to Inez de Coo you should definitely pay a visit to NEST, next to Zaal 3 and De Electriciteitsfabriek, for MYBODY.COM. Other highlights for Saturday:
15:00 De Electriciteitsfabriek – Dialogue: The Birth and Death of Europe with a.o. Srećko Horvat (Tina Farifteh)
22:30 Theater aan het Spui – patten (David Veneman)
23:30 Paard – Oceanic (David Veneman)
1:45 Paard – Linn da Quebrada (David Veneman)
