After two amazing solo exhibitions, Stroom challenges us to look at the world differently by means of a seminar. Make sure you get there early and cease the opportunity to experience the beautiful work by Monira al Qadiri.
This seminar by Andrew Norman Wilson is part of the series Attempts to Read the World (Differently). We Are Public members can also attend Monira Al Qadiri’s exhibition on 7 January. The series is split into five acts, three of which are solo performances, in which young artists investigate different ways to look at the world they live in and its future. In Uncertainty Seminars, that’s named after one of his works, Wilson shows what the impact of ‘insecurity’ is to his work. And people in general. He discusses this with Ibo van de Poel, professor ethics and technology at TU Delft.
David Veneman is a designer, most of the time. Besides the studio work he makes as half of buurmen, he also produces autonomously. David graduated from the KABK, specialising in Interactive/Media/Design and was the co-founder of the Teletekst is dood! collective. David is deeply rooted in The Hague's scene and knows what's going on in both established organisations and smaller spots.
