After two successful editions, Wonderfeel has proved that an outdoor festival à la Into the Great Wide Open also can also work well with classical music. As a guest programmer of the Weeshuis van de Hits stage I am heavily biased but I am really convinced that this is a wonderful festival for classical music lovers and and non-enthusiasts as well as the young and old!
Three-day long cavalcade of jazz, world and classical music during this festival on the Schaep en Burgh in het ’s-Gravelandse nature reserve. The event is topped with a wide array of lectures, music documentaries and of course all sorts of delicacies at several food stands. Meanwhile the grownups enjoy the outstanding tunes, children can participate in various art workshops, enjoy puppet shows or join walks with the the forester.
Listen to a performance of classical harpist Masumi Nagasawa, Polish jazz pianist Marcin Masecki or the Nora Fisher and Marnix Dorrentein duo, who translate the music of Monteverdi and Purcell to current tunes.
Besides Friday, the We Are Public programme selection also includes the Wonderfeel Sunday performances.

Floris Kortie (1986) started attending concerts from a young age and almost instantaneously felt the urge to push more people to do the same. This enthusiasm only grew larger during his time as chair of Entrée, the youth association of The Concertgebouw. Floris writes, programmes and presents, amongst other things by the weekly tv show Podium Witteman.
