Dutch-Australian composer Kate Moore is a rising star within the world of contemporary experimental music. In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious Matthijs Vermeulen prie and in 2018, she was the artist in residence at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. With x gen x, Moore brings together the creme de la creme of the international music scene within the framework of project Zielsverwanten. The bond that Moore has with this diverse and international group of composers, musicians and sound artists is the red thread that runs through the group’s selection. In spite of the vast cultural difference, x gen x is all about the way music can build bridges and make connections. It’s a theme that resonates throughout the various compositions that will be performed on the night.
